Mark King The continuing Story

INFLUENCES This is to me really quite self indulgent of our Mr King quite Jazzy. I only play this occasionally& yes only have it on Vinyl yes you do remember that black stuff you play on a turntable. Follow the link to another Mark King Fan.

ONE MAN When this came out I was very relieved to see that Mark Had not Hung up is Bass for good. An interesting set of songs yes from a Man who had been there, had his thumb insured for loadsa money & mellowed by his experiences very much for Radio 2 listeners.

TRASH Well I've been a long time thinking about it but whilst on the Isle of Wight I took the opportunity to buy one. (Yes at Ryde IoW for the last night of the 2000 tour 10 rows back in the middle). The bad news is; I would sum it up as a Jimmy Nail meets Sade at a party. The Good news is that's not a bad thing!! You should go out and buy it if you went to any of the Trash tour shows you'll now know where some of the songs come from. If you looked about at Ryde a certain ex-level 42 keyboard player was about.

THE MARK KING GROUP LIVE AT THE JAZZ CAFE Word of warning about this one PLAY IT LOUD. When I First got this album I stuck it in the PC Tried it in the car All not somewhat disappointment. However Playing it on my JBL Studio Monitors its great. The last track has some very deep down frequencies. So I have to say to the guy who mixed remember most fans don't have big bass bins OR DO WE! I have to say some of the singing is a bit weak IMHO and the chinese way was not to my liking perhaps a little too jazzy for me.

GRUPO MARK KING Live on the Isle of Wight 2000 ... well what can I say but if you were one of those lucky people who crammed in that into the Ryde Theatre then you will already own this. To see the master perform is always a pleasure and the trip to Ryde well is one of those best kept secrets. Well fortunately he did not record at Ryde IOW the following year ... and Ryde Theatre was back to its best ... Ryde 2001 was the best yet!

LIVE 2001 READING UK This really should be re titled the return of Level 42 for that is the only material it contains. Its very good although I found the sound quality of the DVD a little dull. If you wonder why our Mr King says "they walk !" towards the end of the CD it is simply that it was recorded in an all seater theatre ... horrid places.
